TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR SOMMJOURNEYS TOURS

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. They constitute the legal agreement

that governs the contract between us. This agreement is between you (and anyone

traveling with you) and SommJourneys LLC. When we use the words "we," "us," or

"our," we mean SommJourneys LLC. When we use the words "you" or "your," we mean

the person who purchased some type of travel from SommJourneys LLC.

ACCURACY OF INFORMATION​

We must prepare our itinerary a long time before the trip. Changes can also occur after

the itinerary is published. For example, hotels might withdraw facilities due to

maintenance or bad weather, room availability may change, or some activities might not

be available at the start or end of the season. Should events beyond our control require

it, we reserve the right to alter or modify the itinerary without advance notice, to

withdraw any tour component from your trip, and/or to substitute a tour component of

equal standard.

YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF RISK​

Some of the activities you might choose to do during your trip (horseback riding, hiking,

visiting caves, etc.) may involve some personal risk. If you decide to take part in such

activities, you accept these risks, and you are responsible for your own actions.

Although we or our suppliers may provide instructions to you as part of the

arrangements, any safety information/notices must be observed, which will minimize

these risks. If at any time you or a member of your party feels uncomfortable about

taking part in an activity, you are under no obligation to take part in or complete

activities.

SOMMJOURNEYS GROUP TRAVEL - EXPECTATIONS

We want everyone to have an enjoyable, carefree trip. For this to happen, everyone

must be courteous. You must remember that you are responsible for your actions and

the effect they may have on others. You read and agree to the "SommJourneys LLC

Travel Expectations" document shared with you.

LIMITS ON RESPONSIBILITY

Your trip will be arranged by Andrew Putnam at SommJourneys LLC, acting only as an

agent for the hotels, tour companies, wineries & vineyards, vehicle companies,

railroads, ship lines, cooking schools, restaurants, producers, chefs, and other vendors

and their owners or contractors ("our supplier associates") providing accommodations,

touring, teaching, or other services included in your trip. We do not own or operate any

entity that provides goods and services for your trip.

 

All such persons or entities are independent contractors. As a result, we cannot be held

liable for any negligent or willful act of any such person or entity, their employees or

agents, or any third person.

By accepting your trip and/or such vouchers, coupons, receipts, and contracts, you

agree to the foregoing and also agree that neither Andrew Putnam at SommJourneys

nor any of their affiliates or agents shall be or become liable or responsible for any loss,

injury, or damage to person, property, or otherwise in connection with any

accommodations, transportation, touring, or other services provided, resulting directly or

indirectly from any acts of God, fire, breakdown in machinery or equipment, acts of

government, wars (whether declared or not), hostilities, acts of nature, animals, criminal

acts, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferage, loss or damage

to baggage, illness, allergic reactions, disease, epidemics, quarantines, financial

defaults of service providers, delays or cancellations, or changes in itinerary or

schedules, or from any other causes beyond our control.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

We require that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover any potential

losses, injuries, or damages. This insurance should cover trip cancellations, medical

expenses, personal liability, and lost luggage. Proof of purchase for travel insurance is

required within 30 days of the deposit being paid.

TRAVEL INSURANCE INFORMATION

We require each guest to purchase travel insurance. This will protect you during the trip,

covering travel delays, lost baggage, medical expenses, and medical evacuation. It also

offers up to 100% trip cancellation protection and up to 150% trip interruption coverage.

SommJourneys LLC is partnering with the well-respected Allianz Global Assistance.

They offer comprehensive plans at competitive prices, serving 45 states and Canada,

with excellent customer service. Please review the shared document for more details

about your travel insurance options.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

You are responsible for ensuring that you are in suitable health to undertake the trip.

Any pre-existing medical conditions must be disclosed to us at the time of booking.

​

FORCE MAJEURE

We shall not be held responsible for any delays or alterations in the itinerary due to

unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, political

unrest, or other force majeure events.

​

JURISDICTION

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the

state of Florida, and any disputes arising out of or in connection with this agreement

shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Florida.

 

COST OF THE TRIP (EXAMPLE)

$6,499 per person, double occupancy.

$6,799 per person, single occupancy.

 

SommJourneys LLC reserve the right to re-calculate prices due to currency fluctuations.

 

PAYMENT SCHEDULE AND TERMS

Double Occupancy Travelers

$1,000.00 per person - Deposit paid by credit, debit, cash, or check during sign up.

Balance due 90 Days prior to departure.

Single Occupancy Travelers

$1,000.00 per person - Deposit paid by credit, debit, cash, or check during sign up.

Balance due 90 Days prior to departure.

CANCELATION POLICY

180 days or more prior to departure: Cancel within 30 days of booking and 180 days or

more before the departure date to receive a full refund. If cancelled between 179 days

to 91 days prior to departure, a refund will be issued minus the deposit paid.

90 days prior to departure: Cancel 90 days or less before the departure date and the

tour is non-refundable.
